I can’t thank Cardology enough for their products and great customer service. I would https://www.favorpop.com recommend to all. Everyone who receives the cards I send are more than pleased, and I usually find that they are on display long after the event. Thank you Cardology. It has been a pleasure to be a customer.”

“THE most beautiful pop up card and I am a serious stationary fan.
So delicate, so unusual and just so gorgeous. Also run by sisters. (I met one of the lovely founders today at a home fair). A family business to support whole heartedly.
Never going to buy a card from anywhere else ever again.”

– Natasha Pope

“I ordered this card on the 6th of August. It was dispatched the same day & has arrived in the post today (7th) .I think this card is lovely especially for anyone who likes Gin. Good quality materials used great service. Would definitely recommend this company & I shall use them again. You may think it’s an expensive card but so are some decent 3D Cards in the shops. You won’t get cards like this in the shops. These are so different.& unique.”

– Julie R

“I just love these quirky cards. Have ordered several over time and the recipients have always been delighted and the cards are left on display long after the event has passed. Cardology’s customer service is second to none as is their turnaround order time and unbelievably quick delivery. I ordered my latest birthday pop up card in the middle of the afternoon yesterday and they were on my doormat this morning!! Will definitely be ordering again and more than happy to sing their praises to family and friends. You cannot fail to be impressed with both the products and their attention to customer satisfaction. 10/10.”

SAND MARCH 11

Directions

1. Fold a piece of construction paper or cardstock in half. If you’d like to make a smaller card, cut the https://www.favorpop.com paper to size before you fold.

2. Cut slits at the center of your card. With the folded side facing you, cut two 1.5 inch slits. The paper between each of the cuts will form a tab that you’ll secure your pop up card art to. Tabs can be wide or narrow depending on what kind of art you choose. Make multiple tabs if you are planning to add pop up art along the width of your card.

3. Open the card and fold tabs inward. Crease each tab at the center. They should now be on the inside of the card.

4. Print or draw your pop up art. Choose what will go on each tab—you can either print the images we provided or draw your own. Cut the pop up art out and use a glue stick to secure to each tab.

5. Fold your second piece of paper in half. This will be the outside of your final 3D Cards. Glue the outside of the first piece of paper. Place the first piece of paper inside of the second piece of paper and press together, hiding the tab cutouts.

6. Decorate your pop up card and write a message. Put the finishing touches on your pop up card with glitter, stamps, or a fun message.

Now that you know how to make a pop up card, let’s get started! If drawing isn’t your strength, but you still want to create a meaningful birthday pop up card, use these printables to guide your design and then personalize your card with markers, glitter and other decorative elements.

CUT THE CARD STOCK FOR THE POP-UP CARD

Cut a piece of card stock to the desired size.

Next, fold the card stock in half. Cut two parallel slits on the folded side of the paper, about one inch apart and about one inch long. I’d encourage you to play around with the length of these cuts.

Next, fold the tab up and crease it.

Open up your card.

And then pop the paper toward the inside of the card.

INVITE YOUR CHILD TO CREATE A POP-UP CARD

Cut a piece of colorful construction paper, the same size or slightly bigger than the card stock. Glue the card stock to the construction paper. Be sure that you don’t glue the “pop-up” section down.

Set up the blank pop up card and a bucket of crayons as an invitation for your child to create.

MAKE THE POP-UP DESIGN FOR YOUR CARD

Ask your child to think of what he or she would like to pop off of the card. My five-year old made two cards: one had a space theme and the other had a garden theme. She decided that she wanted https://www.favorpop.comrocket to pop off the space card and a flower to pop off the garden card. I helped her figure out how tall to make these objects.

Note: If the pop-up objects are too tall, they’ll poke out of the card when it closes

Decorate the cards with crayons, markers, or colored pencils. When the card is done, glue the cheap pop up cards piece in place and let it dry for about an hour.

How to Make Pop up Cards

Do you like to make your own cards? Today I’m sharing how to make pop-up cards with kids. These are easy, fun, and once kids get the hang of it it’s hard to stop making them.

Every now and then I’ll find myself in Target’s card aisle, lured in by my wide-eyed kids who https://www.favorpop.com ogle at the colorful greeting ideas. I love it too, but we’re rarely suckered in when it’s so easy, fun, and frankly more meaningful to make our own cards.

I know, making your own cards can takes heap-loaps of time, and the truth is that we don’t always have it. On the other hand, creative projects like this have some big benefits: they give my kids something constructive pop up card to work on and offer them lots of time to think about the recipient of their card (building lots of gratitude and love along the way).

My five-year old was getting ready for a couple of birthday parties, and she worked diligently on these pop-up cards. They can be as complicated or simple as you like. Since making these birthday pop up card, this has become her favorite card-making method, and most recently she made a princess card with a pop-up crown for a friend’s dress-up party.
