Feb 13 2017 – STAY FROSTY

ALONG WITH THE WEEKEND REPORT, I WANTED TO ADD A REPORT SIMPLY DISCUSSING SOME RECENT TRADE SET UPS. A PULLBACK TODAY COULD OFFER OPPORTUNITIES IF THE DIP IS NOT SEVERE.

.

NAK was a buy all last week, and I pointed it out as a consolidation in an uptrend.

WRN – I also pointed out WRN as a nice weekly and daily set up earlier last week. It has popped to $1.62 since I posted this weekly chart, so what can we expect if you took this trade?  The following charts can help…

WRN –  It could just run straight up as shown to as much as $2+, or…

WRN –  At times we need to be patient to allow a bit more consolidation  ( NAK did this). Either way, this WRN trade looks like a very bullish set up for the longer term.

PLG –  I recommended this a while ago and on the weekly chart I still see big potential.  It has moved up about 40% since I first  recommended it, but I think it can continue higher. If that little move on this chart was 40%, you can see how good this could get.  🙂

PPP – PPP popped too, but I also expect that this could make a nice run in this second daily cycle and probably also in the 3rd. I am still holding this one, thinking that it could be one of those lagging Miners ready to run  (Caution: Barring any bad news , bad earnings, etc) .  Stay frosty ( be alert).

TGB –  Another copper stock, and several copper stocks have been acting correctly.  This is breaking out from a 2 week consolidation and this could run. Please look at January 2,3,4, & 5 on this chart.  It popped and then it paused for 3 days, before it ran strongly. We could see a pause here, but I would buy this here and if it pauses, I’d be patient. It looks ready to go higher ( Stop below $1.30).

XRA –  Climbing the red line reliably ( 10sma) This is a nice buy set up with a stop below the 200sma(blue line)  or 10sma ( red line).

GRNH –  This set up is bullish and dont be surprised if it just takes off from here. Buy with a stop ( metal stop probably) at the green line ( 50sma).  I almost bought this Friday.  Since my special Medical Marijuana report in December, I have doubled my money in 4 of 4 trades, and then sold 3 of them for profit. They are cheap, so I don’t tend to invest a huge amount. CNBX was a quick gainer. Right now I only own EDXC, but I’d like to own CNBX again and GRNH looks good here. This is a complex sector, so I do consider the fundamentals and charts. This sector is not for everyone.

I wanted you all to see this.  If you have been with me for a while, you know that I have been saying that GPL should return to former highs. I bought the OCT lows and mentioned the bullishness and the potential with this chart in November.

COULD IT REALLY GO BACK TO THE $2 AREA? Almost double?

GPL – As expected. So the next question is, “Are there others like it?”

VGZ –  Similar to what GPL was, so be patient and allow this one to play out. I expect VGZ to get back to over $2 from here, and that is a 100% gain. It will take time to do this, as did GPL.

VGZ WEEKLY –  And we have a break out, I hope you have entered this recommendation when I made it in early January.  It is NOT too late if you haven’t, but remember that earnings , a public offering, or bad news CAN affect a stock short term. Stay Frosty in earnings seasons!

BTG –  Pointed out that BTG had broken out & I also expected a return to former highs, forming a cup.

BTG at $3.41 again, is forming that cup. Look at those 2 vertical runs in 2016. We could be in the middle of one of those here. Breaking out to new highs is bullish.

EGO is lagging a bit, but could be breaking higher now. %-Gains are good when these Miners begin playing catch up. Again, Stay Frosty and be aware that earnings may or may not be bullish.

TRQ WEEKLY- I pointed this out as  Bullish around $3.00 plus when it broke out from a down trend.

TRQ WEEKLY –  This is quite a bullish set up now, but this one has taken its sweet time moving higher so far.

TRQ –  This is why I like the big picture.  It isn’t just a GOLD stock either.  Patient long term buy & hold readers might want to consider this one.

X- It can just run higher or pause with a handle.  I’ve been asked, “What do you make of X breaking sharply higher and then nothing?  Is it dead?”.  No, it is bullish for the long run, but it could form a handle if it doesn’t just keep moving higher.

URA – I think that many of the Uranium individual Miners look rather bullish.  I bought URRE last week. This is where one needs to be more Frosty ( Cautious) that heavily invested, until it proves itself.  This chart shows a 5 wave rise with the final surge ahead of us.  It also could be 5 waves complete, so this is for traders in front of the screens. I think we can go higher here, but Stay Frosty!

Above are some trades that may have already been posted in earlier reports and these charts may help one to ride out any volatility by seeing the expected outcome, or even buy a dip. Other charts may be newer ideas, and we can still enter at a rather low risk entry, with a stop close below as pointed out.  Stay frosty, since  Miners can have bad news and sell off  ( see CDE) ,  but I think that on day 11 in Gold, Most miners will have another week or two to enjoy some upside. Go back to the weekend report and review the charts if necessary.  They do allow for a pullback.  Have a good Monday!

Stay Frosty theme picture:

That picture is actually a place that my wife and I visited this week in N.H.   Once the colder nights set in, they make giant castles of ice. Included in these large castles are lighting, music, and they also build enclosed ice slides with sleds to race down, great for the little kid in all of us.

Yes, but the way I look at it, it was a buy 2 or 4 days ago, breaking from a cup & handle pattern. At this point I wouldnt enter the trade without a dip first ( because it could back test that break that it just did).

R&D to develop products for multiple myeloma, psoriasis, PTSD, migraines….also developing a soluble tablet delivery system…they own 100% of Israeli company One World Cannabis….evidently Israel is heavy into promoting cannabis research and use for medical purposes….they also offer consulting to govt. and private entities to help with developing various medical cannabis programs….Israel was the 2nd country worldwide to formally approve medical cannabis…..this is what I’ve read so far….:)

Thanks for the heads up…haven’t looked at this one lately…it was hit when it was downgraded at the end of January…..so looks like good chance to get in while it’s low!

I harvested most of my profits with NAK, will ReEnter if she breaks out to new highs.
There are rumors of “some Shanagans” going on……. then there is some insiders selling so……

SINO and other shippers moving again. SINO came out with a great earning report. Alot of the MOMO Chat rooms pumping it rn

Seems like you would have already had to have been in them to buy. Even something like SINO, if you buy here looks like a reasonable stop is already 25% away. I guess that’s why it pays to buy some on the base and be patient. I totally missed the boat on shippers. *pun bort!* Or should I say “I’m not on bort.”

If you mean the stock, I see it struggling between the overhead 10sma, and the 50sma that it is sitting on. I dont see a sign of strength, and I usually recommend waiting for a move above the 10sma to show a little strength.
If you buy it here, you need a stop. A break below the 50sma could lead to further selling

Just read this mornings report CF:
If I understand your MM trading are scalps only ? You will Not be holding any longer term ?

      chartfreak1 says:

Time will tell. It’s going to depend on the company and the environment going forward. I have been trading them based on the charts presently.

I’ve held EDXC for months and still own it.

    • chartfreak1
      chartfreak1 says:

Actually, I held them for a month or more, so less of a scalp, more of a short term trade, but I do like the story behind dome of the companies and I do assume that some will do very well over time, if the environment remains favorable.

I got stopped out from 1.15 down to .99 a few weeks back. Im back in at .95 with a decent size load. Not selling yet. Waiting for a move. Finally above most the MAs and MACD getting closer to 0. I want to see a solid close over the 50 before I get excited.

Looks neutral to me as well Crawdaddy. The weekly 5 RSI and MACD don’t strike me as deep value territory from a simple charting viewpoint (I’m a novice FWIW). Ditto for the slow stochastics.

My NAK buy is working out, but the rest of my acct seems to be stagnant at down 1.61%. I am watching many golds/silvers for 10 min buys, then hourly, then daily buys. I do not have a slew of 10 min buys and, as I just checked, even NAK is slipping back. Bottom line, I don’t see a rally in the nearby future.

      • chartfreak1
        chartfreak1 says:

I could see a pop in GDX – Good divergence on the 5 minute chart.

Doesn’t mean there will be follow through and a strong rally, but if I’m using a 5 minute chart, that is how they start.

GDX has formed a rounding bottom on a 1 day / 5 minute.

          • Glmus
            Glmus says:

Great. I had an hourly buy about 20 minutes ago, but GDX wasn’t moving much. It seems to be taking off a little now. I pick up three other hourly buys: AG, IAG, and MUX – I own all three. My acct is improving, but still -1.23% however,

    • chartfreak1
      chartfreak1 says:

Oooh, that is a very nice chart. It keeps surging higher and then giving it up, but this looks like it’ll follow through soon ( Maybe this time).

      Good catch, Thanks Crystal.

I think I recommended this a few weeks ago on a pop, when POT, MON, AGU, MOS here all looking good too.
And they are looking good today also./ Maybe NOW this sector will follow through.

          chartfreak1 says:

Once it breaks free, the upside on this one looks really good.
I hope you get the follow through tomorrow.

I just looked at the chart. I can see that maybe you had a stop below the 50sma with wiggle room,
maybe under $1.80. Glad you hung in there!

          • YS
            YS says:

the reason why I hung on is because the 30 days rule. 🙂 the compliance guy told me I couldn’t sell it above $1.825. Otherwise the profit needs to donate to the charity. 🙂 Hope this time the pop will stay.

      • Cason
        Cason says:

Your cycle count is right now, BUT we need a higher high first. Otherwise we peak on day 6 which would give us a left-translated (weak) cycle. Also, only netting an additional $1.50 out of a 2nd daily cycle is not very bullish at all. Let’s hold that line tomorrow folks!

Timing for early March does line up.

Alex- any concern no follow through on gdx or slv today? I expected a much better day out of a half cycle low.
