Goood Call on the JDST
Thx Liza, but I didnt play it . DUST and JDST def look like ginat cups breaking out , but I am still in the wait and see mode, missing most of that move. Some played it very well – it has had a VERY nice run up

Yes, I actually liked that set up too, it had strong volume on the 1st
run up & the BUY was at the 20sma pullback on lighter volume. Yu
are correct wanting to see more volume. It may pullback again to the
20sma if it doesnt get more volume buying and you could buy it there if MKTS are still looking good.

Alex, so what happens when an ICL ‘misses’? We had hoped for a trade able low in miners but now GDX & GDXJ stare into the abyss. Does it skip out to next cycle period or happen late? More likely to be stronger or weaker? Appreciate the insight. Hope I’m not too late but shorting with both hands currently.
Cason- It could be that an ICL ‘fails’ and this early on, it would mean much lower prices, but I have to wonder about whats happening right now. I thought GOLDS ICL came early by about a month , but it acted correctly as it took off from Oct 6 lows. Most of my indicators flipped bullish- Miners never acted correctly and seemed to be indicating that lower prices were coming. ( I thought that possibly GOLDS move up was real and Miners may play catch up, but the Miners didnt look like we had an ICL , while Gold did).
I have to wonder if the real ICL is still ahead and timing wise would be more normal . Roughly 6 months apart , like the lows of June 2013, Dec 2013 , May 2014 and Nov? Its something I have to consider going forward, and this drop in Miners to new lows has been MUCH more than I expected…they are blowing through the BollingerBands without pause. I’m glad your short, I missed some good trades downside, and mostly in cash kind of stinks with the futures as they are currently.

Appreciate the thoughts, thanks! Yeah, overly bearish sentiments – bears really growling right now. Which is usually a bad sign for them. But gold chart and gdx chart are a sloppy mess! Miners predicted the GLD sell off at end of this week – that much was easy. I guess best course right now is to watch and wait for the right set up to come to you. Definitely don’t want to get involved long too early if all of the indicators don’t line up first!

Friday I’m away and mostly in cash ….the futures are up pretty huge , and everything looks set to GAP UP – the Nikkei exploded and Gold/Miners continue the smash down , so its almost too difficult to act on the moves at this point in time, unless you see a nice set up with a low risk entry. We may have to wait for a pullback, gap fills, or another development. I’ll try to be more specific in the weekend report.
