Something To Cheer About

Yes , It’s a Supberbowl weekend in the U.S., but there is something more to cheer about. I am currently doing several studies with very bullish implications for the GOLD & SILVER market. My readers know several of the things that I’ve been tracking for months, and there are other areas that I look into also. Right now I see things that indicate … Well, I’ll leave that for the weekend report. Right now look at these 2 charts.

.

The HUI has had bear mkt rally after bear market rally since 2012, but each ‘cycle’ could not surpass the last one from low to high.  THIS CHART is a first, and it is just 1  sign of change to cheer about.

HUI CHEER

HUI CLOSE UP

WHOA HUI

My weekend report will likely be released by late Sunday night or Monday morning, and it will be filled with facts that will build your confidence that finally we could be seeing the Bear Market Lows, expectations, price projections, etc.  : )

Lets look at some of our trade ideas for now….

.

Right now we have been riding some  MINERS since the shake out lows, and I’ve shared some trade ideas in various stocks from the General Markets,  Energy, and Commodities.  I received a few emails saying that they took a trade and got a nice pop.  Thats good news to hear. Trades like PLM, CLF, and FCX were mentioned.  One reader grabbed a 15% pop & sold it.  THAT is perfect.    They could run further that the initial pop, but there is always another trade for traders.   ( I did recommend holding the Miners with that shake out , stop run, but Energy trades wee just for quick trades at this point).

.

These stocks  have been rocketing, so I wanted to review a few ideas.  I’ll point out some calls that worked, so that you can see why these set ups do often have follow through.

I have mentioned FCX, CLF, AA, CENX, AKS, X, STLD, ZEUS, VALE in recent reports for example , as Commodity stocks ready to pop. Lets review –  I DO think that these will run further. Some buy the lows & try to catch a POP out of the lows, then others who see the POP can buy above the 50sma with a stop under the 50sma. So lets look at Commodity lows and see how they are playing out.

CENX & AA –  Look how CENX ran, so AA can too.

CENX 2-3

AA had a  break out pointed out in Yesterdays report.  This could run to $10 eventually (for starters).

AA 2-3

AA– See how that base formed a higher low, I look for those.

AA 2-4

I posted VALE  Feb 3 as it dropped to the lows and reversed higher with MACD divergence.

VALE 2-3

It POPPED.

VALE 2-4

CLF is moving off of a nice base ( Inverse H&S /  Flat type base).

CLF 2-3

.

I want to show these  Steel stocks, to show how steel stocks are performing. See also ZEUS & SCHN. SCHN may be a buy now too.

.

TMST – Warning, moves faster than NUGT,  not for everyone. Up over 160% at one point, Its a steel stock that  looks like a flag after that HUGE Pop. This is also just to point out that steel stocks look good.

TMST

STLD – Nice run.  Extended now, but You would buy at the 50sma, and that is where ‘X’ is now.

STLD 2-4

X  Steel – A couple of false break outs above the 50sma, but if steel & commodities run, this break may run now. This is a buy in my opinion.

X 2-4

I mentioned FCX last week, it too has Popped. (Copper).

FCX 2-4

NEXT

I mentioned that I expected I expected a rally for a couple of weeks, so some could trade set ups, and I posted a couple.  LONGER TERM, I think the markets will roll over , so BUY & HOLD in this area s not recommended.  Look up  KSS, OUTR, RL, LNKD after the markets open  as a warning.  We keep seeing Pops and Drops in earnings.  LNKD was down $55 in pre market.

FNSR – Posted yesterday as a buy. Gap fill, round base, sign of strength pop.

FNSR 2-3

FNSR Yesterday. If you bought it, it can run to $15.

FNSR 2-4

I mentioned 3-D printers looking ‘set up.  I mentioned  DDD, VJET, SSYS

DDD 2-4

VJET –  Do you recognize that base ? Still a buy, especially if it pauses or pulls back a bit.  The STOP is below yesterdays lows.

VJET 2-3

Look at this set up!!  Who do they think they are looking this bullish during a market sell off?  This is a 3 year weekly pattern that is usually very Bullish.   I love this chart,  I dont trust the market beyond a few weeks, but this didnt sell off in January.  It is normally a buy here …

EGHT 2-4

EGHT Daily  – Oh Man, it even gets better.  This is what the handle looks like close up.  A mini Cup& Handle  or W pattern with flag.  This looks excellent really.

EGHT 2-4 d

NEXT

Lets quickly look at Energy Trades.  Many pop 10, 20, 30% out of their bases. I have said this before –  These are for experienced traders in front of the screen most of the time.  They are higher risk at this point.  Trade at your own risk, keep positions small until they move out of their bases.

I pointed out CNX and its potential-  It is that set up ,  a mini -base with higher low or flag that I like –  so lets find more.

CNX 2

Still rising.  Lets find another low that popped and then went sideways…

cnx 2-4

LGCY   JAN 29 – I know, I’ve been pointing this out expecting a POP.

LGCY 1-29

LGCY -I still love this base  ( as long as no bad news / earnings comes out).  This could easily double I.M.H.O.

LGCY 2-4

AXAS – Still love this one  (As long as no news / earnings come out).

AXAS 2-3

CJES – Mentioned here, starting to stair step upward. Recognize that set up off of the lows?

cjes 2-4

UPL – This could be ready –  I’m just going to keep copy pasting this reminder  🙂 (As long as no news / earnings come out)

UPL 2-4

BBG – Breaking out , heading higher    (As long as no news / earnings come out)

BBG 2-4

Finally –

Just a quick Miner discussion.  If we are entering a long term BULL in MIners, there are a TON of great set ups.

Beaten down RGLD just released earnings and POPPED.  This will run swiftly when the Bull returns in my humble opinion.

RGLD 2-4

I always mention and show bases of RIC, LSG, NG, GPL, MUX, etc etc as having lows in place.

I LOVE this set up on LSG, because it has not broken out yet. Disclaimer:  I own this from a long time ago, since the ones that bottomed in 2013 can be considered Buy & Hold.   These werent hurt by the bear conditions,   what will they do when the Bull markets returns and conditions improve ( selling thier Gold for $1400, $1600, etc)?

LSG 2-4

Reminder : Long Bases run swiftly.  This hit $24 yesterday.

NEM 2-1

NEM 2-3

SO I will have a weekend report by Monday morning and it has great implications for the Precious metals Bear growing horns and returning into a BULL again.  I know,  hard to believe after 4 yrs , but the signs that I have been pointing out for a year now ( and more) continue to  line up.  I have other things to point out too.   I will try to get it done sooner than Monday, but as you know, my reports aren’t often very simple.   I always have a pretty busy weekend with family obligations, plus I have been doing a lot of research on GOLD  and will need to do some more, gather charts after the close this week, and so on.  Oh yeah, and I have plans to be with family &  friends Sunday night ( Superbowl).

.

Enjoy your Friday and weekend and as always –

Thanks for being here!    .

Bill – I see that GDX has gone down 2% downn premarital. I know you had predicted a gap down today. What could be a good spot to buy this dip or should we wait till Monday ?

        Bill says:

I don’t remember saying a gap down? I think a normal pullback of 10% can be expected here. A gap fill may also occur 16%. If the experts are right and this is now a BULL market, I wouldn’t have any problem holding over the weekend. I would expect to be higher in a week or two even on a pullback if I bought early. IF we are still in a BEAR market, I wouldn’t want to hold over the weekend. I’m looking to get more $$$ in the game, Im going to watch for a while.

Also, If this first ICL is done, we could get a 38% to 50% pullback to the next DCL. Maybe CF can tell us if we are in the timing band for the ICL to break lower?

I would appreciate it if subscription posts were not posted. I have people here as my subs that write thier own reports and its not fair that they cant advertise here, but others are advertised

Thx, but I actually like to do my own work, dig for facts , historical precedence, etc . It keeps me sharp. When I read other peoples work, I get satisfied (or lazy) and can miss what I would normally find if I was searching through things my own way. I usually find more than I need or use here.

So I dont subscribe to anyone elses work , but I do read other stuff like 321Gold and Safehaven, etc . Some readers also may send me something to read and say “What do you think of this bearish view?” etc, but I wont read it before I write a report. I dont want it to keep me from finding what I would find doing it my way. ( I can get cycle help from Poly and my friend Likesmoney if something throws me a curve. I like the unemotional “Just the facts” approach & research. ).

Thank You Bill. True story – I read a guys report years ago and he said

” This has never happened before, and it means …..”, and so I thought,
“WOW, This is a special event . ” I believed it for weeks.

Then I did my own research and found SEVERAL examples where it DID happen before & had an opposite effect of what he was saying it meant. Everyone makes mistakes, but that one was obvious and easy to find if he just did some research .

I dont want to be that guy if I can help it 🙂

I overstayed my welcome. It was really more of a hedge in case we started a drop now. Which it appears we are not, now with markets struggling. So, I’m taking my few bucks and going home. 🙂 Sold half SA yesterday, if we get back to purchase price, I’ll add back.

Did I mention how much I liked that LSG set up?

Its got huge volume so far this am.- to the green side. Not sure why. They released news at 6 A.M. yesterday, but the reaction was mute with Gold up.

Volume right now is more than it usually has all day.

  3. chartfreak1
    chartfreak1 says:

LSG dropped to $0.90 this a.m. at the open, then took off higher, now $1.06. 1 million in volume after 1&1/2 hr . Usually doesnt get that all day .

This is going to make a run for its highs and try to break out I would think.
