About Robert Alexander

My name is Robert Alexander—though many know me simply as “Alex” from trading forums. I’ve been trading full-time for nearly three decades, with roots that go back to the 1990s while I was working in management and sales at a well-known aerospace company.
Like most traders, my early years were anything but consistent. Balancing a demanding career with an evolving trading style led to uneven results. That frustration became a turning point. I committed to studying the greats, Jesse Livermore, Bernard Baruch, Nicolas Darvas, William O’Neil, and others, breaking down not just what they did, but why they did it. That shift in approach marked the beginning of real progress.
In 2003, I attended a technical analysis course that proved to be a defining moment in my development. It helped crystallize my framework and refine my focus on breakouts, volume, and price behavior. From there, I built a disciplined, repeatable process—one that ultimately gave me the confidence to leave corporate America and trade full time.
Today, that same foundation still drives everything I do. My approach centers on identifying high-probability opportunities through chart structure, momentum, and market psychology, always with an emphasis on risk management and adaptability. Markets evolve, and so must the trader.
Outside of trading, I live in New England, where I enjoy the outdoors, sports, and time with family and friends. I’ve always believed that trading is as much about mindset and balance as it is about strategy.
I’m approachable and always open to connecting. Feel free to reach out anytime.
